We've mentioned recently that the C8 mid-engine Corvette slated for 2020 release will not be shown at the 2019 NAIAS on Jan. 19 through Jan. 27 at the Cobo Center in Downtown Detroit. This was apparently confirmed by a Chevrolet spokesperson as noted in mlive.com's news posting on December 12th.
As posted by Benjamin Raven for mlive.com, "Perhaps jumping out in front of speculation that has been going on for years, a spokesperson with Chevrolet confirmed the automaker would not be revealing its mid-engine Corvette at the 2019 Detroit auto show." And Benjamin went on to say, "A spokesperson with the automaker confirmed the decision to Henry Payne of the Detroit News, and that the hotly-anticipated Corvette would most likely stay in the shadows until the spring."
